Kevin Kaczmarczyk (pronounced catch-mar-chic) is an English singer/songwriter/producer of Irish and Polish decent. His first experience with music was when he was 8 when he started to learn the Violin. Through out his schooling he gained proficiency in four other instruments as well as music theory and singing. Performance lead to composition, which he started at the age of 15, completing his first song at 17. As well as music, Kevin is an avid and experienced dancer, which he incorporates into his live performances. Recently he has won several performance and writing contests including the UIUC “So You Think You can Sing Competition” (first place) and the UIUC Garageband Festival (best song with vocal). His song “Maybe Tonight” has been favourited by Columbia Records’ unsigned blog in the UK and is 1 of only 51 (out of the 3000+ artists and groups on the blog) to achieve this. Kevin regards his style as improvised pop with rnb and electro influences, this is due to the fact that all his lyrical lines are improvised and not written down before recording over beats that he creates himself.
