The Ambassador's unique blend of psychedelic surf skank hails from a legacy stretching back to the early 90s. Back then they roused and bewildered the clientele of North London boozers with dub tunes such as the apocalyptic 'Back to Seed'.

Formed at art college, the four piece have always been keen to experiment and their creative bond has helped cement their relatively static line up ever since The Om continue to receive favourable reviews, internet exposure and extensive radio play from ska tunes such as The Tracks and the spooky and enigmatic Hole, recorded in 2006.

They gained noteriety in the late 90s from an extensive gig regime around the well known London indie circuit and Summer festivals and their presence on the 'Cult Themes of the 70s' compilation. They reworked the theme to 70s TV show Space 1999 and featured in several showcase gigs with groups including no.1 60s act the Honeycombs.

In 2008, having completed a new three track demo entitled Desert Dry, they continue to perform live and forge ahead in their own regal ambassadorial manner and look ahead to a bright musical horizons.

“Interstellar psychedelic funkmasters from om. Spaced out sounds which straddle a melange of sounds like ska, 60's surf sci-fi rock and reggae.”
