Artist Profile

How would you describe your sound and what are some of your influences?
We try to aim for an original, dynamic sound. We also aim to be diverse, including ambient elements to our music that stands us out from our local music scene. Our main influences are bands like Alexisonfire and Fightstar.
If you were to pick one festival to play what would it be and why?
The Leeds/Reading Festival. Simply because it\'s the most relevant to modern music lovers, offering a diverse range of music. Also because it\'s the nearest big festival to us northerners so has a special appeal because of that.
Lager or Cider?
Neither, Sailor Jerry\'s and coke for the win!
Who would you like to support?
Any band that is musically similar really, we aren\'t too fussy! To play with established bands like Alexisonfire would be an amazing honour though.
What’s your favourite album this year?
Liam: The Blackout\'s The Best In Town Michael: Kings Of Leon\'s Only by The Night. Craig: Enter Shikari\'s Common Dreads Henning: Asking Alexandria\'s Stand Up And Scream Keelan: The Prodihy\'s Invaders Must Die
Any weird things happened to you at a gig?
Outside from the usual technical difficulties (plec drops, fuse blows ect) nothing too strange yet. We shall update upon a supernatural occurence, or other truly weird experience :)
What can people expect when coming to your gig?
A no gimmick, honest show. Be prepared to mosh.
Have you ever been crowd surfing?
Not yet, most of the gig we play don\'t have an elevated stage, when we get chnce i\'m sure one of us will haha
Give me 5 reasons why people should come and see you live?
We have an amazing live sound, using top range amps and mic\'s. Our live show is pretty awesome. Our songs have massive hooks, which won\'y let you go. We\'re all canny lads, so a fun night is guaranteed. Finally, people should come see us to broaden their musical horizons.
Complete the sentence - In a perfect world I would?
I\'d marry Eva Green and have a seven year honeymoon. And the band would be successful too, but priorities man :P
To which record label would you most liked to be signed to?
To be honest, we\'re hard working enough to give it a go ourselves. However, if a good offer came along we\'d be stupid not to at least consider it.
How did you come up with your name?
It was a book in the film 2012 written by the character played by John Cusack. We all just though it was a quality phrase, kinda mythological and intelligent sounding.
What do you do in the real world?
Liam is currently doing A Levels at Newcastle College Michael is doing an English Degree at Sunderland Uni Craig is studying a BTEC in Computing Henning and Keelan both work for their moneys :)
How did you get together? (if you’re a group etc)
Michael, Henning and Keelan starting playing along to songs by bands like Foo Fighters, Ash and Greenday for a laugh, things progressed when original Jonathon Stoker and guitarist Craig Jobey joined the band and original material began to appear.
What’s the big game plan?
We aren\'t particularly fame hungry but of course would love to be playing huge gigs to festival size crowds. Mostly we want to stay loyal to and increase our fanbase, staying relevnt to a modern audience.
How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together?
Our songs have steadily become heavier and more experimental from our first few tracks. As we progress as musicians our songs gain maturity and originality.
Have you ever thrown a TV out a window? If not, would you like to?!
I think we\'re a little short of the trashing hotel room status, one day maybe ;)
What’s on your rider?
We are so cheap we don\'t have one, we have a pre-gig Subway routine though, sort of counts haha
So, you think you’re going to big hey – What makes you so different?
We, along with maybe half a dozen similar bands, are pushing the screamo sound further into wider conciousness. However, we arent afraid of indulging in our softer side and are very open minded when it comes to our music.
