Jon Orpheus created GhostSong in his imagination over a period of time whilst working with avant garde studio band 'Electronic Voice Phenomena' and the idea developed into reality early in 2008. 
Originally formed as a festival band called 'In The Hills' in 2007, GhostSong's lyrical material is based on traditional English, Scottish and American as well self penned songs.
GhostSong’s debut album was completed by early 2009 entitled 'Haunted'.
GhostSong have successfully completed a number of gigs as headliners and have also played support gigs for the likes of Magicfolk, In Gowan Ring, Kangaroo Moon and The Travelling Band and others. GhostSong also appeared at the 2008 Northern Green Gathering and 2009 Kirkburton Free Festival and have also played several sessions on local radio stations.
