BIOGRAPHY
Matt was former member and lead singer with Dayfall - Dayfall were a 5 piece Original Rock Band based in Kent. Matt Dene is the songwriter. Matt formed Dayfall in 2004 because he wanted to get his music heard, as it was a little different from the norm. He writes all his songs on Cubase, and are keyboard based.
The songs were frequently likened to our influences, "a cross between 'Nine Inch Nails' and 'Depeche Mode'"
Artist Profile
Influences are Nine Inch Nails / Rammstein / Numan / Kraftwerk /Depeche\' Mode - Some of the songs I\'ve done are quite heavy but recently have been a little more up-tempo and chart friendly
It\'s a difficult one - A few years ago when I was in a band that was described as \"industrial\" I would have chosen Download - Now I am leaning towards the V Festival
Cider
Florence and the Machine La Roux Depeche Mode
Have been approached for autographs! Have had people performing strange \"dances\" in front of me
In the \"old\" days we would do a mixture of covers and originals with a decent light-show - The originals would usually go down better than the covers - We did covers of songs that were not being done by other bands and suited our set
Yep, and it was quite good fun - It\'s always best heading away from the stage!
Now, I would say great songs Good showman Great lightshow hopefully with images on the background Hear music that not many people would hear on the radio
Famous, but not too famous that I would have the press at my door every morning - Not a pretty sight!
Some Bizarre
I just literally made it up - I like the name Matt and
Data Entry Clerk
To keep on making the music that I like
The music I used to did got heavier which was fine at the time - Now I\'m solo I can concentrate just on me
No
My what now? - I am happy to play for free for Charity gigs and support slots so I can get back to performing a full 2 hour set off my own back and all of my own material
Songs are written on computer and are all keyboard based - Because of the influences the songs can be a little darker than the normal electronic music that you hear
It used to be between 150 - 200 which was usually 50 quid each - Now I\'m not sure
