Strangetouch
Strangetouch was formed in 2007 as an acoustic act by Thomas McCallum who picked up a guitar to get some of the songs floating around his head down in some demo format

He was soon joined by Jackie McGoldrick on backing vocals With four songs written, they embarked on a few gigs such as Glasgow’s Renfrew Ferry at the now infamous Kincaid Live showcase and Café Gramafon

Neil Stewart was to join the band in 2008 as lead guitarist and brought much needed diversity to the band
The arrival of an invite from Forfar based band “The Trade “ to play there end of year bash in Dundee was to start the run of over 65 gigs in 2009 in venues such as Glasgow Cosmapol , Clydebank Cosmapol, The Box, Twisted wheel, The Aragon , Ash bar Montrose and to a 300 plus strong crowd at Glasgow’s Kelvin hall
Along side artists such as Eoghan Colgan ,The Apsherons, Vivian Scotson & Patrick Bullen, and many more

Summer 2009 seen the addition of drummer Ken MaCechran into the line up, after many ads in local music shops and online and papers ken eventually was the one to find us
The new sound is a far cry from the acoustic set that was being played at the beginning
Feb 2010 heralded the arrival of Mateja Muller – Bass & Keyboards to complete the line up
Our influences are varied from Sting to u2 , Kings of leon, Tracey Chapman and loads of other
Our sound has been described in many ways from Indie pop to middle of the road
The sound we seem to be developing is heavily influenced by 80s alternative sound from bands such as Hue and Cry, Orange Juce, Paul haig , the Pale Fountains and all the other bands who had that Postcard records sound !!!!
One of the most unique aspects of the band is the ages of the members span from 21 years to 61 years of age
